H Drive

Education students have remote access to their personal home space (H: drive), using the following methods.

USING QUT DIAL-IN

Using Internet Explorer, first check that there is a tick in the:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced ->
Enable folder view for FTP sites
tickbox.

Then enter the following address in your browser:

ftp://ftp.students.ed.qut.edu.au
(click refresh if you get a "The page cannot be displayed" error)

When prompted for authentication, enter your QUT Access username preceded by qutad\ (eg. qutad\n0123456) and your QUT Access password.

You will now have access to your personal home space.

USING ISP DIAL-IN OR BROADBAND

First install and configure VPN software using instructions from the following web site (http://www.its.qut.edu.au/offcampusaccess/sas/)

Once a VPN connection to QUT has been established, enter the following address in your browser (ftp://ftp.students.ed.qut.edu.au). When prompted for authentication, enter your student id and password (qutad\n0123456). You will now have access to your personal home space.
