| When studying
Biology, you come across a wide variety of living organisms. This
website is to be used as a tool in a year 11 Biology classroom in the Queensland
Australia Schooling system. Students will find out how to use what
is called a Dichotomous Key.
A Dichotomous
Key helps a scientist identify an unknown organism just by answering a
series of questions when looking at the physical characteristics of the
organism in front of them. This Key I made up myself, and is fully
functional to answer the questions about the chosen animals.
The Key is just
an idea I had to work on for an online project to integrate Biology into
Computing. Teachers who would like to use this idea, feel free to
make a version to suit your own classroom.
Where possible
(and when I had the time) I linked the end result to a website containing
more information of the animals involved.
