Year 11 Computer Studies Class
Lesson 6 of 6
Duration: 40 minutes
Students will be given a quick quiz about
all the things that have been studied thus far.
At the end of this lesson, students will
be able to do the following
-
Recall most of the definitions given to them.

Label a diagram of the back of a computer.

Be able to explain how primary and secondary
memory work together.

Know the functions of different types of computers.
-
Know what imput and output devices are, and
why they are called input and output.

Student's notpads.

Whiteboard and pens.

List of questions
from lessons over the last 2 weeks.

Activity Description
- Get the class in and settled -
roll call.
- Explain to the class what is oing
on today:
- "Today we are finishing the unit on computer hardware and software,
and we want to
know how well you have understood what has beentaught to you..."
- Get students to get out their workbooks and pens (of have them type
their answers
up as questions are read out). |

- Read out the list of questions
from over the last 2 weeks, having students answer either in
their books or by using the
word processor.
- Have students read out their answers. |

- Ask students to get out all their
work so that the teacher can look over how much they have
actually done, and see how
they have been going (getting ideas on examinations). |
Students will be examined on a similar
basis, but with diagrams to be labelled, and a case study to solve.
