Students will gain a better understanding of the terms that will be used about computer hardware, and start to get to know about the pieces of hardware in a personal computer, and the consumables in an office workplace.

   Activity Description

 - Class comes in and sit down
 - Introduce the day’s work
         - “As I promised you yesterday, we’re going to look at the guts of a computer, but you
           also have to learn a little more about the definitions.”
         - “What did we talk about yesterday?”
         - “Can you give me some examples of input devices?”
         - “How does memory work?”

   Activity Description

 - Put definitions on the overhead covering up unwanted sections, go through Output devices
   and printers:
         - List some types – explain what is special about them.
         - Consumables – prices…
                    - Bubble jet ~ $50 - $55
                    - Laser ~ $200 for 10000 sheets
 - Split the class into 2.
         - One part of the class does the activity sheets provided
         - Other part comes to the front to see the parts of the computer.
 - Class swaps over.

 - Go through the worksheets

Students will be able to label a diagram of computer componants in an exam.  Also, students will have a better knowledge of what other computer expressions (acronyms) and other terms.  Also, students will be able to pass off some of their practical requirements for certificate work.
